What's that music? - Marin Photographer

Since the recent launch of my new website I have had many of you ask me, "What's that music on your site? I love it!"

Sweet Baby Boy - Tiburon Photographer

So, I have lots of blogging to catch up on.... but I'm starting first with a sneak peek from this cutie's newborn photo session a few days ago. His parents, though first time parents, came over with an air of easy going confidence and calm that amazed me! They are doing such a good job in their new roles and he is one lucky little boy. During our portrait photography session we got to play with lots of wardrobe changes and states of wakefulness and we were lucky enough to get him to sleep, if only for a few fleeting moments :)

A special guy --- Marin Dog & Pet Photographer

Last Saturday I got to meet and photograph Muttley. A new venture for me - dog and pet portraits! This special guy took command after command and many doggie treats later he was a pro. We think he has another career to fall back on in modeling and commercials should he choose to. Though for now, Muttley, take it easy and enjoy. You did good!

Newborn and Baby Mini Sessions Feb 6 - Marin Newborn Photographer

Your new little one is only little once.
Join me for an afternoon to document this special time and create keepsake portraits of them.

When: Saturday, February 6 starting at 12:30
Who: Newborn through 3-month-old babies
Where: My home studio in Tiburon
What: Newborn and Baby Mini Photo Sessions

Fee: $75

Your $75 fee includes your 30 minute mini photo session and private online gallery of session photos. Prints and digital files are purchased separately. Contact me for more details and to reserve your spot. Sessions are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Also ... Mini session dates for the beach and garden settings will be announced soon. They are for children of all ages. Keep an eye out as they fill up quickly!

What I'm Up To - Marin and San Francisco Portrait Photographer

Welcome to 2010. It's a brand new year and I'm busily working away in Tiburon, during these very rainy weeks, on my ..... brand NEW website! Yes, I'm very excited about it. The site will be going live within the next couple weeks.

I'm learning all kinds of geeky computer things. This teeny tiny image is called a favicon: I created it using a part of my logo in Photoshop. It is a small image that appears up on the internet browser tab next to Kim Binfield Photography when you're viewing my new site.

So, be sure to stay tuned, because there just might be a special or two when the new site is unveiled!

Paris in November - Marin Family Photographer

This holiday season I'm thankful for a wonderful 20o9. We celebrated first and third birthdays for our girls and my husband and I have been busy and fulfilled with both work and family life. Last month we were able to take the girls to Paris (ok, admittedly I was a driving force behind this!). Showing them Paris was one of the items on my "List of things to do in life." They of course won't remember much but they were there, with me and their Dad and they will have photos (ok a ton of photos) to look back on when they're grown.

Pink Rose Blooms - Marin Newborn Photographer

Today's post is from a newborn session a couple months ago. This newborn's mama had the most adorable rose bloom bloomers for her newborn from the recently opened children's store Koze Beginnings in Tiburon, California. One look at these tiny bloomers and I knew they'd make for adorable photos! We had a lovely and quick session in wonderful morning light with mama, big sister and newborn baby.

Then and Now - Marin Children's Photographer

My youngest is now a one-year-old! Here are two photos of her. One as a precious, sleeping newborn and one as the sweet and fun-loving girl she has grown to be in her first year. Her older sister got in on the documenting as well. Pictured here at age two, she is now a big three-year-old.


Portrait Tip: Photograph your child or have them photographed in or on a piece of furniture (sofa, chair, table, bed, crib) within your home at newborn, 3 month, 6 month and one year milestones (or as often as you like) to document their development in these early days.
