Expecting a new baby soon? -- Kim Binfield Photography -- Marin Newborn Photographer

I am looking for mothers who will be delivering in a Southern Marin hospital in October (preferable) or November. 

I am building my portfolio and offering a new session type - Brand New Baby! These sessions are held in the hospital after baby is born and before baby goes home, typically in your baby's first 48 hours of life. It is *not* birth photography. The scene is calm (ok, calmer) and there are potentially visitors to be photographed with baby as well (parents, siblings, grandparents). Photos are taken in a relaxed, quiet manner using natural light to capture those first moments with you and your baby.

There will be no charge for the session and it will include two complimentary digital images in exchange for helping to build my portfolio and market the new type of session.

Personality and gorgeous morning light -- Kim Binfield Photography -- Ross and Kentfield Photographer

Oh my goodness... what a treat this gal was. I have to say she was a cross between a modern day Gidget and Audrey Hepburn, just lovely! She came with some acting lessons behind her belt and wow - what a fun session. I mostly photograph children and families, but get in touch and let's see what we can provide for your business and or your creative self. Gorgeous greenery, mid-morning light and the Town of Ross were our backdrop for these images.

Farewell sweet summer -- Kim Binfield Photography -- Larkspur and Marin Family Photographer

While it's still VERY hot here in California, the girls are back in school and we are awaiting the arrival of cooler Autumn temperatures. My girls are in second and fourth grade this year (I can't believe it!!) and are enjoying the start of new dance and soccer seasons.

I'm energized by the changing season and have lots planned for the coming weeks and months ahead at Kim Binfield Photography ... look for holiday photo announcements, a new type of session, model calls and more...

San Francisco Maternity Session -- Kim Binfield Photography -- Crissy Field

Catching up on my blog... a maternity session I've been meaning to post! I love the different looks we were able to get with varied settings in and around Crissy Field in San Francisco. I'm also very happy for my clients to bring a change of clothes and or accessories too. It's your session... make the most of it and have fun!

Mother's Day and May Specials! - Kim Binfield Photography - Marin Family and Child Photographer

May is for Mothers as we near Mother's Day here in the US. To celebrate this special time in our lives, join me for a session during the month of May and we'll create beautiful photos, many that also have you in them! Expecting a baby soon... have your maternity photos taken. Specials will be offered on both types of sessions.

My girls are now 6 and 8 and I treasure this photo my husband took of the three of us in Tiburon more and more each year. It is actually kind of an outtake as our toddler was running around a bit (imagine that!) but that is what I like about it. It is real and I like the candid, lifestyle feel of it. My youngest was about 6-months-old and she is just the cutest little puff ball in this photo. My oldest still has the same smile as she does in this photo, reminding me of her younger self.

We're only mothers of young children for a short time in our lives. Be sure to get in there and be in the photos with them.
